A flatbed wrecker struck a man who was lying in the road on White Street near Bates Place early Thursday, police said. The driver of the flatbed said he saw the man, later identified as David Norocinsji of Danbury , at the last moment. He tried to avoid hitting Norocinsji, but was not able to.
