Danbury girls blank Staples in Class LL opener

Sara DaSilva and Taylor Moore each scored a goal and Rebecca Gartner made 14 saves as the ninth-seeded Danbury High School girls soccer team beat 24th-seeded Staples 2-0 in the first round of the Class LL state tournament on Monday.
