Military manufacturer's fate uncertain

The future of DRS Consolidated Controls became a little less certain this week when its parent company's chief executive officer said he was looking to sell parts of the business or find a partner to help operate the struggling company. DRS Consolidated Controls has a five-decade history in Danbury of being a major employer and defense contractor involved in the production of instrumentation and controls for the U.S. Navy 's nuclear program.
