Tolls would spike traffic on secondary roads, officials fear

Danbury-area civic and political leaders are all but unanimous in opposition to the idea of reintroducing border tolls in Connecticut, citing among other reasons the inconvenience and expense to commuters. But some commuters are taking the possibility of tolls in stride, knowing there are many ways of avoiding them if the plan comes to fruition.
