U.S. Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy are voicing their concerns over delays in the construction of a new facility at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, according to the CT Mirror. The Democratic senators from Connecticut were joined by colleagues who wrote a letter to the federal Bureau of Prisons expressing concerns over the 200 prisoners who have been transferred as well as a halt in a drug rehabilitation program that could potentially reduce prison sentences, the Mirror reported.
