Danbury war hero's dog tag returns half a century later -- from New Zealand

The memorabilia from her father's service in the Army Rangers during World War II has been dear to Debra Smith all of her life. Edward Polubinski's two Purple Hearts and a Red Cross bag he was given to store his belongings on release from a German prison camp are carefully packed away, along with the American flag that flew over Main and West streets in Danbury the day he died in 1988.
