Woman, child struck on Main Street in Danbury

A woman and her 3-year-old son were struck by a car Wednesday night in a crosswalk on Main Street, according to emergency officials at the scene. The accident occurred about 6 p.m. in front of the Laurel Gardens housing complex at 385 Main St. Emergency officials said the mother and boy were transported to the emergency room at Danbury Hospital shortly after the incident.
