Danbury-area town budgets taking shape

With referendum dates a little more than a month away, municipal officials in the Danbury area have been presenting budget proposals to constituents, hoping they see eye-to-eye with officials' plans. Of the area's larger towns, Bethel has proposed the largest year-over-year spending increase, at slightly under 3 percent, to $70.9 million.
