Leaders clear air on Candlewood Lake finances

The top elected leaders from Danbury and four towns that border Candlewood Lake had an emergency money talk Monday with the authority that governs the lake to get a clear picture of its strained finances. "We understand your concern for us to be fiscally responsible -- we intend to be and we attempt to be," said Phyllis Schaer , the unpaid executive director of the Candlewood Lake Authority .
