The Smoking Gun Research Agency , a nonprofit Connecticut organization investigating unusual phenomena and "fringe" topics since 1997, will host a multimedia display and a talk focusing on the Hudson Valley sightings that took place in the 1980s and 1990s. Police charged a man Tuesday afternoon after a dog owner claimed he beat a dog near where he was mowing a lawn, according to the Danbury Police Department .
