Voters Approve $53.5M Plan To Expand Danbury High School

Danbury High School will get even larger now that voters have approved a $53.5 million plan to add a 28-classroom freshmen academy wing onto the campus. The plan, known as DHS2020, passed Tuesday with 54 percent of the voters casting a "yes" ballot and 46 percent voting no, according to Tweets from Mayor Mark Boughton.

Locked up in Danbury, Connecticut on a 15-month bid for her role in a mortgage and bankruptcy fraud scheme with her husband, Joe Giudice, Teresa Giudice said, "Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support I love, love, love you all xo T!" The tweet was launched around 5 p.m. Sunday, and it was the Montville resident's first time on the social media channel since Dec. 23, 2014.

The National Weather Service has issued both a "Hazardous Weather Outlook" and "Flash Flood Watch" for the entire state of Connecticut, which lasts until Tuesday at 8 p.m. According to the National Weather Service periods of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will continue through Tuesday as several disturbances track into the area impacting Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.
