Watergate figure Jeb Stuart Magruder, an ex-Staten Islander, dies at 79

Jeb Stuart Magruder, a former Staten Islander and aide to President Richard Nixon who spent seven months in prison for his role in covering up the 1972 Watergate break-in, died May 11 in Danbury, Conn., of complications from a stroke.
