Natalie Weise, a former regent of the Mary Wooster Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Danbury, recently had the opportunity to acquire a special document signed by chapter namesake Mary Wooster herself. The note of payment, dated Nov. 22, 1785, also bears the signature of Connecticut State Treasurer John Lawrence and requests that the sum of 50 pounds be paid to Mary Wooster, wife of Revolutionary War General David Wooster.
