Whalers insist fan started fight at Watertown arena

Three members of the Danbury Whalers hockey organization have been arrested in two separate incidents 14 months apart involving fans at the Watertown Municipal Arena in Upstate New York -- and it appears that, in both incidents, fans had almost unencumbered access to the visiting players. The latest incident occurred following the second period of Monday night's game between the Whalers and the host Watertown Wolves in the Federal Hockey League semifinals.
