Budget deal raises income taxes on the rich

The state's wealthiest residents will see their income taxes increase under a budget deal struck by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy fellow Democrats in the General Assembly door session early Sunday morning. The budget will drastically change the way cities such as Bridgeport, Stamford and Danbury receive supplemental aid for hosting tax-exempt property including hospitals and institutions of higher learning.
