Three local students Alyssa Barrett, 17, and Olivia Harris, 16, both of Danbury High School, and Mackenzie Mitchell, 15, of Immaculate High School were chosen to serve on the Youth Volunteer Corps International Youth Advisory Board. Western Connecticut State University in Danbury is hosting an economic symposium, "The Economy and You," on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Ives Concert Hall.
