Cops: Woman with sword shot in Danbury

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the stomach Friday as she tried to use a sword to help a neighbor who was being assaulted in a Town Hill Avenue apartment building, police said. A 21-year-old man told officers he was just shutting the entrance door to a common hallway that leads to his apartment when two men forced their way in and began beating him at about 12:30 a.m. Friday, police said.
