Danbury Man Faces Firearm Charge in Southeast

New York State Police arrested Kerzell Barnes of Danbury, CT for Criminal Possession of a Firearm at about 3 a.m. May 3. Barnes's vehicle was stopped for an inadequate plate lamp on I-684 in Southeast; and the trooper saw a black handgun on the back seat of the vehicle in plain view. Barnes, 30, possess a valid pistol permit for the firearm in Connecticut but no pistol permit in New York, police said.
