"We're tremendously saddened by his passing and by the circumstances that resulted in his death," said Ryan Bingham , a spokesman for the trash company. Police and representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration continue to investigate the accident, but an initial probe indicated a garbage truck was backing up when it hit DaSilva, Assistant Fire Chief Mark Omasta said.
