No. 1 Newtown, No. 2 Danbury clash again in wrestling quad meet

There's been injuries, the graduation of arguable the best wrestler in program history, a rare second-place finish at their own holiday tournament and most recently -- a 35-20 loss to Mount Anthony on Jan. 19. Despite the many obstacles and the annual standard of being the best in the state, the Danbury High wrestling team is 9-1 and ranked No. 2 in the Norwich Bulletin state coaches poll.
