The Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host an open house to celebrate the birthday of world renowned contralto and longtime Danbury resident, singer Marian Anderson at the museum's Marian Anderson Studio on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The celebration will share Anderson's life and accomplishments as well as spotlight the museum and historical society's new exhibit. At 2 p.m., the museum welcomes Western Connecticut State Univeristy music students who will perform several songs made popular by Anderson throughout her career.
