Security scanner manufacturer Smiths Detection Inc. has started consolidating operations at its U.S. headquarters in Edgewood and plans to have everything moved from Danbury, Conn., to Maryland by the end of April. Smiths Detection, which is part of London-based Smiths Group plc , announced Thursday it has transferred manufacturing for its RadSeeker hand-held radiation scanner to Edgewood from Danbury.
