Officers conducting the checkpoint at about 8:40 p.m. on Nov. 22 at Fairfield Hills detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police said. The driver, Jason Sosa , 20, of Danbury, pulled off the road and officers found a duffle bag in the trunk containing 5 pounds of marijuana, police said.
