They walk into the road and knock on car windows when drivers are stopped for a light on White Street in Danbury asking for a couple of bucks. They wait for Mass to get out at St. Peter's Church on Main Street, and have been heard yelling after the pastor if he does not give them money, "And you're supposed to be a priest!" They learn the travel routines of downtown workers and stake out their routes, hitting them up so often for help that some workers simply don't go out as much.
