Schools close as area towns prepare for next winter blast

Schools announced they will be closed and Danbury issued a city-wide parking ban ahead of the latest storm that is expected to dump about a foot of snow in the area. Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said road crews were expected to begin working at about midnight as the city prepared for a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain.
