Lawmakers: End magnet school moratorium

The proliferation of magnet schools, which bring students from urban and suburban communities together, led to a decrease in segregation of black and Latino students in Connecticut and a narrowing of the achievement gap, a study released last week by the Civil Rights Project at UCLA said.
