The recent acquisition of ADS Logistics by the locally based Odyssey Logistics will help the firm increase its intermodal network and give the company a dominant market share in heavy metals transports, company officials said Wednesday. Cosmo Alberico, chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Danbury-based Odyssey Logistics, said the acquisition of the Alternative Distribution Systems Logistics Company based in Indiana will give Odyssey a near 90 percent market share for heavy metals, such as aluminium coils distributed by Alcoa, that are distributed by ocean containers.
