Danbury is among 30 school districts in the state that will receive additional state funds to improve student learning and assist students who need extra help. Since the 2012-2013 school year, the district has received grant money from the Alliance District program, which was created in 2012 to improve performance in the state's 30 "most chronically struggling" school districts.
