The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church in Elkhart, Ind., hosted participants in the Great March for Climate Action, a cross-country march to raise awareness for climate justice. Some of the marchers will take a short break from their journey to travel to New York City to take part in the People's Climate March on September 21. After funding for kindergarten aides was cut three years ago, Unitarian Universalists volunteered their time to successfully continue mentoring children in their reading and writing skills at the Morris Street School in Danbury, Conn.
