Pedestrian hit on Route 7 still critical

Elsa Aucay, 21, of Danbury, was listed in critical condition at Yale- New Haven Hospital and a 51-year-old woman was treated and released for minor injuries following the Wednesday night accident. Lt. Lawrence Ash said the women were crossing the road to get to a bus stop shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when they were hit by an SUV driven by a 26-year-old woman, who stopped and cooperated with police.
