The leaders of 18 southwestern Connecticut municipalities left a meeting earlier this month resolved to push for improved Metro-North commuter railroad service as the legislative priority for 2015. It was evidence to some Danbury-area officials who initially objected the idea of merging with a group of coastal communities to form a larger planning coalition that the collaboration will have some benefits.
