Renewal House, which provides transitional housing for seniors in a homey, well-kept colonial in downtown Danbury, is one of 341 nonprofits in Fairfield County to win grants this year from the Community Foundation. The Foundation handed out nearly $5 million in Greater Danbury in fiscal 2014, striving to recognize agencies that provide critical services, especially in a state with a rapidly aging population.
