First Night Danbury continues festive New Year's tradition

There were city natives whose families date back generations, toddlers attending their first magic show and teens joining their friends and parents who all savored the 25th annual First Night Danbury festivities Wednesday evening. A mix of area residents and families braved a chilly night to ring in the new year, moving between a series of downtown venues, most of which were situated near the Danbury Public Library, the Danbury Music Centre, the Palace Theatre and the Danbury Ice Arena.
